About Bluvali

Welcome to BluvaliLocated in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of central New York, Bluvali is a small kennel that began with the acquisition of the Basset Hound Musicland’s Baby Doll, CD in 1974 followed by Ch Musicland’s Ravishing Ruby in 1976.  In the late 1980s the Tibetan Terrier and future champion Abbey’s Orient Express arrived followed shortly thereafter by Tibetan Spaniel and future champion Kinderhof’s Bluvali Eurosha.  The arrivals of Ori and Rosha began our journey away from Basset Hounds and into Tibetans.

Bluvali is proud to be a Tibetan Terrier Club of America Register Of Merit Breeder as well as an AKC Breeder Of Merit.  In addition to actively breeding and exhibiting, Margie is an AKC approved judge of seven hound breeds and four non sporting breeds as well as junior showmanship.  In addition to having the pleasure of judging the Tibetan Terrier, Tibetan Spaniel and Basset Hound nationals in the USA, Margie has judged in Canada and Argentina.

With limited breeding, Bluvali has produced over 80 AKC champions as well as obedience, rally and tracking titleholders.  In striving for excellent conformation and temperament, Bluvali does all breed appropriate health testing.  My Tibetan Terriers have OFA cleared hips and annual CERF clearances and are DNA tested for NCL, PLL and late onset PRA.  Tibetan Spaniels have annual CERF clearances and all puppies are bile acid tested for normal liver function before they are placed.  Puppies are born and raised in my large country kitchen and are highly socialized beginning at three days of age with the early socialization intervention described by Dr. Carmen Battaglia.  When pups leave my home, they have been vet checked, microchipped, wormed and have had at least one DHPP booster.

Puppies and younger adults are available from time to time.  Please inquire for current availability.
